MAC Unsung Heroes: Texture Eyeshadow - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Today, on the MAC Greatest Chocolate-brown Crease Color Hits Tour (Geez, that would be a very specific tour, wouldn't it?! Hahaha! Never mind me every bit I cleft myself up in the corner.), nosotros visit MAC Texture Eye Shadow.
Ooh, Texture! We've talked nigh/drooled over several of my all-time favorite MAC chocolate-brown crease colors over the concluding couple weeks, like Swiss Chocolate and Saddle.
Yum!
And I couldn't forget most Texture. 🙂
Information technology's too a peachy brownish, but information technology's lighter and less orange than Saddle and darker than Soft Brownish, and if you lot really, actually wanted to become technical, you could practise Soft Chocolate-brown as your first crease color, then Texture as your second color, and so Saddle as your 3rd.
But that's only if you're in the mood to complicate things and carefully exercise all of the steps in your gradients.
What'southward an unsung makeup hero? For me, it'southward an oftentimes underrated makeup morsel, a permanent collection product that scoots nether the radar screen of many makeup lovers only regularly rocks my world. The long-running Unsung Heroes series features some of my favorites.
Texture isn't only for peeps who want to spend two hours on their eye makeup, though. In fact, if you can't blend for sh*t and just want something like shooting fish in a barrel, yous need Texture in your life equally a crease color/transition shade, considering although it commonly looks matte, information technology's technically a shimmer and has these tiny flecks of micro-glitter in the pan. Most of the time, those flecks are imperceptible, but they assist to make Texture very piece of cake to blend.
For some reason, shimmers are always, e'er easier to alloy than mattes (I'm guessing that it has to do with how the shiny bits glide across the surface), so if you've tried mattes in your crease but always seem to end up with inclement transitions, no matter what yous do, Texture is the cure for your blending ills.
And don't fifty-fifty become me started on all of the MAC colors information technology goes with because nosotros'd be hither till next year. Merely for starters, you lot can pair it with Soft Brown, Saddle, Swiss Chocolate, Mulch, Sable, Bronze, Dear Lust, Twinks, Trax, All That Glitters, Teddy, Costa Riche…
It'due south bang-up for beginners who want a unmarried, sweet, easy-to-wear brown that goes with almost everything, and also for people who are diving deep into eye makeup and looking for ways to upwards their gradient game. I think it's a MAC must for everyone.
The pan in my collection now is a refill, which sells for $6, but a pan with the black MAC packaging and a flip acme goes for $18 in the permanent line.
Your friendly neighborhood dazzler addict,
Karen
